Past ExhibitionsFUSION! Artists in a Research SettingAugust 22–September 29, 2000 The work exhibited in Fusion!whether in documentary or actual formrepresented the STUDIO for Creative Inquirys 11 year-long history. More than 20 artists (and others) were awarded Research Fellowships at this unusual institution, which attempts to integrate the resources of Carnegie Mellon University in collaborative, artist-initiated projects. Few generalizations can be made about the stunningly diverse array of works in this showonly about the highly collaborative processes and multi-disciplinary methods that resulted in their production. Exhibitions at the Regina Gouger Miller Gallery are supported in part by a grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; individual sponsors; the School of Art; and the College of Fine Arts at Carnegie Mellon University. |
