Past ExhibitionsLiving Documentaries: video installation by Termite TVJanuary 20 - March 3, 2000 In August 1999 Termite TV Collective video artists Anula Shetty, Carl Lee, Michael Kuetemeyer and Dorothea Braemer began a four month journey in an old school bus across the United States, launching the Living Documentary Project. Along the way they recorded impressions of places, and over one hundred individuals telling their life stories in five minute segments. These living documentaries, which were edited on the road, were on display in a multi-monitor video installation, while a retrospective featured the Termite TV series This is Only a Test, produced between 1992 and 1999. Exhibitions at the Regina Gouger Miller Gallery are supported in part by a grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; individual sponsors; the School of Art; and the College of Fine Arts at Carnegie Mellon University. |
