Pittsburgh's Spirit

October 26–December 14, 2001

In an attempt to capture an aesthetic and sociological clarity to the city which he has called home for the past sixteen years, artist and photographer William D. Wade has devoted himself to creating a photographic interpretation of Pittsburgh. The resulting exhibit Pittsburgh's Spirit was a photographic essay that unified people, scenes and symbols into a pertinent, enduring and touching portrait of the city.

Exhibitions at the Regina Gouger Miller Gallery are supported in part by a grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; individual sponsors; the School of Art; and the College of Fine Arts at Carnegie Mellon University.
