Past ExhibitionsKindred Spirits: works by Marlene Aron, Peggy Lynn Cox, Marilee Keys, and Anne WolfNovember 9–December 15, 2000 Curated by Petra Fallaux, Kindred Spirits presented the work of four regional artists: Marlene Aron, Peggy Lynn Cox, Marilee Keys, and Anne Wolf. The use of collected natural materials marked and connected the work of these women artists. Their drawings, collages, prints, and larger sensual installations found beauty in simple repetitive gestures. Collecting, weaving, re-arranging, natural painting and dyeing added many layers of energy to their work. Exhibitions at the Regina Gouger Miller Gallery are supported in part by a grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; individual sponsors; the School of Art; and the College of Fine Arts at Carnegie Mellon University. |
