Carnegie Mellon 2004 MFA Thesis Exhibition
Mar. 26–Apr. 18, 2004
Shock and Awesome promised to produce “a delivery of instant, nearly incomprehensible levels of sensory potential aimed at paralyzing or so overloading onlookers’ perceptions that they are incapable of resistance.” 2004 MFA candidates Lilith Bailey-Kroll, Cassandra C. Jones, Shana Moulton, Siobhan Rigg, Ruth Stanford, and Fereshteh Toosi used photography, installation, and video projections to create an exhibition that held up to its promises.
