African Spirits in the New World featured altar arrangements of sacred art of Brazil, Haiti and Cuba collected by Dr. Frank McGlynn, professor of anthropology at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg. The show underscored and honored the artistry of Africa and its artistic descendants in the New World.
